To BYOD or not to BYOD?

To BYOD or not to BYOD?

That is the question …

Over at networkworld.com, the author of the piece linked to put out “10 hard truths IT must learn to accept” ; most I don’t take issue with.  Hard truth number 1: “IT concession No. 1: The BYOD revolution is here to stay” .  While searching the Web for this post, I got the impression that opinions on BYOD in the IT world are quite diverse, and if there’s a consensus, I’m not sure who’s in on it or if their wise geeks or not (too complicated).  I’ll simply note that the author spoke or exchanged with about two IT people, both from the sector of enterprise mobility (smartphones, other mobile devices).  A priori, vendors of software for business and enterprise mobile computing solutions/ideas will gain from wider use of personal mobile devices in an organization. That is all.
