Peter Gersten thinks something very special will happen at the time of the Winter solstice of 2012, on December 21st. I don’t think an earth-shattering event is afoot about that time.

apparente (équateur vrai ; équinoxe de la date) is the ecliptic/equatorial coord. system in which solstice times are computed, I think; “apparente” not available at this time. So, Winter solstice due ~= 11:09 UTC on Dec. 21st. Good luck!
